Privacy
Anonymous by default. Honest about the machinery.
0° does not use accounts, friends lists, saved profiles, or persistent room history. Your session name is temporary and changes across sessions.
What We Store
- Pending thoughts for matching, usually for about five minutes.
- Match handoff data for about two minutes so both people can enter the same room and exchange ephemeral public keys.
- Encrypted WebSocket relay envelopes while both people are connected.
- Short-lived encrypted fallback chat payloads for about thirty minutes when the live relay is unavailable.
- Minimal abuse report metadata for about thirty days.
- Local blocked peer/session fingerprints on your device so reported rooms do not reopen there.
What We Do Not Store
- No account profile.
- No friends graph.
- No permanent conversation archive.
- No broker-generated room message secret.
- No readable chat text in fallback message storage.
- No raw tokens or secrets in logs.
Reports
When you report a room, we store the reason, room hash, reporter session hash, mode, title, rough request metadata, and timestamp. We do not copy the full chat transcript into the report. The app also stores a local blocked peer/session fingerprint on your device for abuse prevention.
